Even among the “Kanazawa foil” designated as one of the few traditional craft materials in Japan, it is the thinnest and most beautiful “rimmed gold leaf” in the world. As it especially requires skill, the continuance of its tradition has been jeopardized. It is the finest flooring that symbolizes Japanese traditional crafts, adopting the traditional technique of “foil stamping” used in “Nishijin Textile” of Kyoto, which is synonymous with Japanese luxury fabrics.

Since the “rimmed gold leaf” is extremely thin, air holes can be seeing through it. There is little deterioration even when applied to Tamo (Ash) natural flooring, a floating structure that makes the grain stand out. This feature also makes it an excellent material. In addition, “Shinkin”, known for its elegant glimmer, adopts the technology used in Wajima Lacquer to embed foil solely in the grain.
